Our Founder, Pearl, first started her Au Pair journey at just 19 years old when she embarked on an adventure as an Au Pair in America in Philadelphia, USA where she was hired as an au pair.
She then went on to be a Language Volunteer in China where she tutored English while studying Mandarin at Shenyang University. She also assisted the agency which she worked for to help brush up Chinese candidate's applications in order for them to apply for au pair jobs in America. This is what then inspired her to start her own Au Pair agency, as she learned the skills required to run an agency with a first-hand behind the scenes international experience with an Au Pair agency.
Upon her return to South Africa, she commenced her studies in Accounting Sciences while Au Pairing for an American family whose mother worked for the USA embassy in RSA.
She then went on to be a Travel Agent where client service and experience are vital to be successful in such a role.
Covid redirected her journey toward landing her in the Client Services workspace.
It is with her knack for business and Client Services as well as her past experience where she then realized that she could run a successful Au Pair business where one can hire an au pair through her.
Of course, being a new mom has also reignited her passion for finding the right fit for families!
We offer carefully screened Au Pairs for local families. We filter through even as much as 100 applications for one position and post au pair jobs and then hire an au pair.
We search high and low to provide the ideal candidate for you. With unemployment being so high in South Africa, there are sometimes a lot of chance takers who either don't qualify for the position or live too far from the host families. yet still apply for a n au pair job.
